Hundreds of underprivileged children will have the opportunity to discover the elite sport of mountain biking, thanks to a unique partnership between the Garden Route Rocky Mountain 300 and the Knysna Sports School.

Most youngsters will seriously object if they have to do any form of strenuous exercise on the morning of their birthday. But apparently this applies only to youngsters.

Gregory Botha from the Yorkshire Cycling Academy, affiliated to Boland Cycling Union, is representing South Africa at the 10th All Africa Games in the role as the Road Cycling Team’s mechanic. The All African Games will take place in Maputo, Mozambique from 3-18 September 2011.
