UCI Women's Tour in Africa welcomed with open arms Featured

The phenomenal success of the inaugural 2011 Tour de Free State has opened the doors for the second running of the annual event to be featured as a UCI 2.1 WE race by the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), making it the only Olympic qualifying road cycling race for women in Africa.

The 2012 African Continental Championships was held on the lovely island of Mauritius on the 5th of May.  Team bizhub-FCF’s Junior Linda Van Wyk participated in the championships after having been selected for the South Africa National Team.

Ralph ready to tame The Monster

Reigning 70km women’s champion Theresa Ralph will be aiming for a successful title defence on Saturday, 26 May 2012 when she takes on the infamous ProNutro Magalies Monster Mountain Bike Classic at the ATKV Buffelspoort Golf Course (North West Province).  Forming part of the Magaliesberg Citrus Festival, riders can choose between a 70km, 40km and 20km route.

Team bizhub-FCF’s Linda Van Wyk has been selected to participate in the 2012 African Continental Championships. The event is to be hosted in Black River, Mauritius on the 5th of May.  In 2011 the event was hosted in Mauritius where team bizhub’s Candice Neethling won the u23 ladies category.
