Brazilian cycling continues to shine on the WorldTour stage. Ana Vitória ‘Tota’ Magalhães joins Movistar Team on a two year contract. The deal covers the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
A Rising Star from Brazil
Magalhães has been showcasing Latin America’s talent with the BePink – Bongioanni squad. In 2023, she transitioned to full-time European racing with the now-defunct Bizkaia-Durango team. That year, she became Brazil’s national road race champion and later claimed the national individual time trial (ITT) title.
Impressive WorldTour Performances
During 2024, Magalhães delivered standout performances at major WorldTour races. These included La Flèche Wallonne, Strade Bianche, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, and the Giro d’Italia. At the Giro, she made her mark with two breakaways and won the Maglia Azzurra as the event’s best climber. She also competed in the Paris Olympics road race, completing the race in August.
Excitement for the Future
Magalhães is thrilled about her move to the Movistar Team. “I’m super emotional and really happy to take this step,” she expressed with enthusiasm.
Magalhães described herself as an all-rounder who loves aggressive racing and chasing breakaways. “What I love most is teamwork,” she emphasized. “I’m here to support my teammates and achieve victories together.”
Bright Future Ahead
With Magalhães’ signing, Movistar continues to trust in Latin American talent. Her versatility and commitment to team dynamics make her a valuable asset for the squad’s future success.
