Ceratizit Ends Sponsorship of Women’s Pro Cycling Team After 2025

The Ceratizit Group, a leading Austria-based manufacturer of cutting tools and hard materials, has announced it will end its sponsorship of the Ceratizit Pro Cycling Team after the 2025 season. This move concludes ten years of dedicated support for women’s cycling at the elite level.

Despite the upcoming departure of its title sponsor, the UCI Women’s WorldTour team is committed to continuing its presence in professional cycling. The team is now actively searching for new sponsors for the 2026–2028 WorldTour licensing cycle.

Team Remains Focused on Future Despite Sponsorship Change

Team manager Claude Sun, formerly the team’s directeur sportif, is leading the sponsorship search. With UCI WorldTour licenses set to be renewed at the end of 2025, the team is working to secure its future and maintain its position among the world’s top women’s teams.

Previously known as Ceratizit-WNT, the team has been solely sponsored by Ceratizit Group brands since 2016. WNT, often thought of as a secondary sponsor, is in fact a sister brand under the Ceratizit umbrella.

Current Roster and Recent Highlights

The team’s 2024 14-rider roster includes top athletes such as:

  • Daniek Hengeveld – Winner of Stage 1 at the 2024 Tour Down Under
  • Elena Hartmann – Champion of the 2024 Tour El Salvador
  • Marta Jaskulska – Polish national champion
  • Dilyxine Miermont – Rising star from France

Notable alumni include:

  • Lisa Brennauer (Germany) – Retired in 2022
  • Martina Fidanza and Cédrine Kerbaol – The latter claimed a stage victory in the 2024 Tour de France Femmes

A Legacy of Excellence in Women’s Cycling

Since its founding in 2014, Ceratizit Pro Cycling has built a reputation for developing elite talent and achieving international success. Key achievements include:

  • 65 road race victories
  • 13 UCI Women’s WorldTour wins
  • 16 track cycling world titles
  • 4 Olympic medals

The team has played a vital role in promoting the growth of women’s professional cycling worldwide.

Looking Ahead: License Renewal and New Sponsor Search

Although the team currently holds a UCI Women’s WorldTour license, it is set to expire at the end of 2025. The team faced a delay in renewing its license for 2024, which led to Cédrine Kerbaol ending her contract. Management has since clarified that the delay was an administrative issue and not related to financial stability.

Now, the team embarks on a strategic search for new sponsorship partners to ensure its continued participation at the top level of women’s road cycling.
