Tour de France standings shifted after stage three as Tadej Pogačar took yellow with his first stage win of the 2026 race.
The UAE Team Emirates-XRG rider moved ahead of Jonas Vingegaard by the narrowest possible route. Pogačar and Vingegaard remain level on overall time after three stages.
Countback now separates the two favourites. Pogačar has placed higher overall across the stages so far, giving him the race lead.
The stage result created only a two-second difference on the road. That was still enough to remove Vingegaard from yellow.
Pogačar also took control of the points competition. He now leads the green jersey standings after replacing teammate Isaac del Toro at the top.
UAE Team Emirates-XRG also lead the team classification. That gives the squad the right to wear yellow helmets in the race.
Tour de France standings after stage three
Pogačar leads the general classification in 8:46:55. Vingegaard sits second on the same time for Visma-Lease a Bike.
Remco Evenepoel is third for Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe at 23 seconds. Del Toro follows at 24 seconds, with Juan Ayuso fifth at 27 seconds.

Pogačar won the stage in 4:45:11. Vingegaard finished second at two seconds.
Richard Carapaz and Paul Seixas followed on the same time as Vingegaard. Tobias Halland Johannessen placed fifth at four seconds.

Pogačar now leads the points classification with 65 points. Vingegaard is second on 44 points.
Del Toro sits third on 39 points, ahead of Mads Pedersen on 37. Evenepoel is fifth with 33 points.
Alex Baudin leads the mountains competition after spending the day in the breakaway. The EF Education-EasyPost rider was the last escapee caught on Monday.
Baudin has 12 points in the mountains standings. Nicolas Prodhomme is second on nine points for Decathlon CMA CGM.

Young rider and team standings
Del Toro leads the young rider classification after overtaking Ayuso on Sunday. He holds a three-second advantage over the Lidl-Trek rider.
Paul Seixas is third at 24 seconds. Lenny Martinez follows at 45 seconds, with Lennert Van Eetvelt fifth at 1:23.
UAE Team Emirates-XRG top the team classification in 26:25:34. Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe trail by 2:12, while Lidl-Trek sit third at 6:24.
